A native of Utah, Dr. Peterson did his undergraduate work at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah and he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1983. Upon graduation he established his Optometric practice in Ogden where he has met the vision needs of patients for the past 25 years. He is a member of both the American and Utah Optometric Associations and is highly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of various eye diseases. He has a special interest in correcting children's vision problems and fitting contact lenses of all kinds. Difficult cases are always welcome. Dr. Peterson's personal goal is to give you the care and service your eyes deserve!

Cheryl Taylor has been a part of our staff for 26 years! She serves as our office manager and accounting specialist, including accounts payable and receivables. Cheryl is trained in every aspect of our practice, including reception, optical dispensing and lab work. Cheryl is also an expert in contact lens training and special testing, including OCT and visual fields.
Lisa Johansen has been part of the Family Vision Care team since 1999. She serves as our receptionist and is also trained in various areas of the practice. Optical dispensing, contact lens care and special instrument testings are part of her skill set. Lisa is also our insurance specialist.
Linda Smith has been part of the Family Vision Care team since 2003. Linda is our lab manager and handles our frame inventory. She is skilled in dispensing eyewear and has a great knowledge of designer eyewear and lens options such as progressive addition, transitions and anti-glare properties.
Gwen Rodriguez is the newest member of our team has been with us since 2008. She is trained in many aspects of the practice, including reception, optical dispensing, contact lenses and OCT scans. Gwen has developed skills in our optical lab as well.
Jake Peterson is Dr. Peterson’s son and has been with the practice since 2003. He is our computer and equipment specialist and is highly trained in ocular photography and OCT scans. He has a lot of experience in our optical lab and enjoys dispensing eyewear as well. He is a trained contact lens technician. Jake is a full-time student at Weber State University and is in the Pre-Optometry program. He hopes to attain a degree as a Doctor of Optometry in the future and will return to the practice as an additional eye care provider.
